Happy Tuesday Eorzea! Limit Break Radio finally delivers on our promise of episode 10! On the show today we’re talking about all the juicy info that everyones favorite anthropomorphic FFXIV developer YOSHEEP shared with us on the Live Producer Letter at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show. The crew talks about the 3 new dungeons, Shiva battle, Rogue/Ninja preview and much more. We also unveil our new studio in Eorzea that was recently redesigned by Juxta Position so make sure you check out the Twitch video to see that.
Hey Limit Break Radio fans, I know we had announced that we were recording episode 10, but we weighed our options and decided that the Live Letter from Tokyo Game Show would make a much more interesting discussion then Patch 2.38. So, we’ve decided to hold back the full episode 10 until next Saturday September 27th 2014 at 3PM eastern when we’ll stream it live on our Twitch TV channel. Instead we took the opportunity to record a smaller show and just talk about Patch 2.38 before it became completely irrelevant and eclipsed by 2.4 hype. So we present episode 9.38! A single segment Limit Break Radio to tide you over until next week when we record episode 10. That means you have another week to enter our #BringSusan contest, PSN card giveaway and send emails to email@example.com (we could use some more emails by the way). We’re talking all things Patch 2.38 in this episode, Nexus weapons, Player housing woes and some very critical ‘quality of life’ changes that came along with this patch. Again, we’ll be live on Twitch Saturday September 27th at 3pm eastern for episode 10 of Limit Break Radio: A Radio Returns.
Happy tome reset day everybody! Limit Break Radio is back with another part three episode! Just like we do on every .3 episode, on today’s show we read emails and take calls from the Final Fantasy XIV community on a wide range of topics: hunts (’cause why talk about anything else?), airship naming, and how awesome we are as a show. And modest too. We also read some #FMFFL’s and Elitist Party Finder tweets care of @FFXIV_PTFinders. We have two giveaways this week: a 60 day time card care of @FFXIV_PTFinders and to enter that contest all you need to do is Tweet to #BringSusan to the 2014 FFXIV Fan Fest and you will be entered into a drawing to win the 60 day time card. We’re also giving away a $20 Playstation Network card care of listener Zoe Daybreaker, and to enter that contest all you have to do is send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us what you like or don’t like about Limit Break Radio. We will draw the names of the winners on episode 10 of Limit Break Radio. Stay tuned to LBR for details about the upcoming FFXIV Fan Festival and how you can have a chance to meet Aniero and Nika out at Fan Fest.
Limit Break Radio takes a moment to follow up on episode 8.2 and talk, once again, about The Hunt system. LBR received a fair bit of criticism from a Reddit thread about the episode so the crew addresses the criticism head on, fixes some misinformation and talks more about what is still the most arguably populated event these days in Eorzea: Hunts. This episode was recorded live Sunday August 17th 2014 meaning that Aniero continues to predict an epic incoming Hunt nerf (which ended up being not-so-epic). We took some of your calls live on the air, remember if you would like to be a caller to Limit Break Radio make sure you tune in for our live shows on Twitch.tv and add the username limitbreakradio to your Skype contacts list and you can call in to Limit Break Radio.
We have a very exciting episode of Limit Break Radio for you today. We start off by quickly covering the changes made by the 2.35 patch, we’re also be looking toward the future and check out what’s down the road with the Live Producer Letter XVI, and check out all the great events happening surrounding the 1 year anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. We’re joined by Susan Calloway, the vocal performer for the Final Fantasy XIV theme “Answers” as well as a performer for Distant Worlds. That’s all just in part 1 of episode 9 of Limit Break Radio.
Today on Limit Break Radio, we do our “part three” tradition of reading your emails, taking your live calls and #FMFFLs. We also make a special announcement: on episode number 9 Limit Break Radio will be interviewing Susan Calloway, the wonderful vocalist behind the FFXIV song ‘Answers’ and frequent performer at Distant Worlds. Remember if you would like your email read on the show send it to email@example.com
For weeks the new feature ‘The Hunt’ added in 2.3 has been by far one of the most contentious additions to the Final Fantasy XIV community. Drama over when someone pulls a mark, witch hunts in shout to try and ‘out the culprit’, and accusations of players using 3rd party software have all been at the forefront of this issue. However, we’ve also seen many player networks spring up and some serious competitiveness come back into the Final Fantasy XIV community. Limit Break Radio discusses all the important points: Are Hunts, as an event, fair? Is the current loot table fair? Is Square-Enix facilitating 3rd party applications with their game and system design and do these apps give players an unfair advantage? What can we, as players, do about the ill will generated amongst the community by this event? We opened our phone lines and let listeners contribute to the discussion and we hope you will continue the discussion on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
We’ve now had two weeks with Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 2.3 and already it’s changed the focus of the endgame community. The LBR crew talks about doing Sycrus Tower, the new dungeons, Chocobo raising, The Striking Tree, Frontlines and of course The Hunts! We have a small spoilerific discussion about the new main story line quests, so if you haven’t done those yet, you might want to use discretion. We’ll be getting really in depth on The Hunt issue on part 2 of episode 8, it’s a discussion not to be missed!
