Since the reveal of the Revolution song and trailer, the community has been alight with speculation and theory crafting. The LBR hosts toss their two cents into the ring and have it out about what this could all mean for Stormblood. Additionally, an article has been making the rounds positing that being a weeaboo is at it’s core inherently racist. Its cut a pretty solid divide in the community and LBR breaks it all down.

Not to throw any water on your statements against weaboo-ism, because that is a pox upon any community, and I agree with what you all said, but just clarifying:
In Japan, ‘otaku’ is the word for nerd/geek subculture, (and it includes anything one is very knowledgeable about, not just anime/games) which in the last decade has started to lose it’s stigma of the stereotypical fat, balding 30 year old guy with no social life – just like geek/nerd has in the States.
And should you identify as an otaku, you better be ready to back up your claim, the Japanese take their hobbies very seriously.
(In Japan, so calling in is a bit awkward)
